Cute child's story, poem. There was no photo, so surprised it was a child's book, not what I expected. A good read, drawings. As always, the author surprises me with his range of story telling.
this book may be short, but it is well worth the read. the adventures of the father and son tiger are interesting, very original and highly entertaining for all ages. Adams shows why he is a master story teller. the artwork is amazing, yet simple enough for children to understand. ALSO, it is short enough that one would need only read one book at nighttime to help children sleep.
Beautiful illustrations. The story is a classic and a must for cat lovers or anyone who appreciates adventure.

The book and contents needed no research by me. After thirty years I can still resight the first verse from memory. It was my daughters favourite when she was a toddler and at bedtime no part of the story could be omitted without being corrected. This book should be essential reading for any child with an imagination even though the language is quite adult. The opening line being "My father's got some curious friends..." A real delight with the illustrations as well.This book arrived in good condition and well before the advised time. A complete surprise for my daughter to pass on to her new son.
I grew up with this book and lost it at a young age. It has taken me twenty five years to find it again and I am ecstatic to finally have found it again. I hope enough folks pick this up so that a reprint can proceed. This is truly a treasure I would share with anyone of any age.
Well... after The Ship's Cat, this book feels a sequel that's a bit weaker... It's adorable, but honestly the artwork carries the writing. That said, it's still clever, and pretty, and well-spent lap-reading time.
my favorite children's book, given to me as a child by my aunt. Now I give it as an adjunct shower gift when my wife attends. A little outdated in language and political correctness these days, but very highly promoting of family and a healthy sense of adventure with the most beautiful, dream-inspiring illustrations.
